"Efficient Kitchen"

The Design: "Efficient" has no standardized meaning in a listing — it is subjective marketing language, and what it describes is up to whoever wrote the listing. It often points to a compact layout such as a galley kitchen (two parallel walls with a narrow walkway between them) or a single-wall setup, but do not assume: get the dimensions and look at the floor plan. In that kind of layout the sink, stove, and refrigerator typically sit close together, which is what makes a small footprint workable.

The Space: Counter space and storage are minimal. You can expect downsized appliances (like an 18-inch dishwasher or a narrower refrigerator) and fewer cabinets.

The Reality: While it means everything is within arm's reach and cleanup is fast, it is a tight squeeze. It is designed for one person to prepare a meal; having more than one cook in the kitchen at the same time is usually a challenge.
